I have been married for
17 years at this time. I have one daughter and two adult
step children. I also have one step granddaughter born
July 11th, 2008.
My husband, daughter and
I live on a small horse farm in Texas and have four horses,
two dogs and many, many cats.
My favorite color is ????
red, maybe, or blue,
or quite possibly green.
My favorite number is definitely 13. My favorite food
is pizza, pepperoni with lots of cheese. My favorite drink
is water-I can't get enough of it! My favorite pastimes
are writing, reading, working with my horses, walking,
cooking, surfing the web, and taking pictures.
I have been writing since
I was seven years old when I began writing poems. I love
writing and could do it day and night, if I didn't have
anything else to do, like teaching. Do you ever wonder
what your teachers do in their spare time?
My first book was published
in August, 2008. I have since completed
The Gifted Ones: The Fairytale and am waiting
to hear good news about it! I am currently three quarters
of the way finished with a new manuscript called Moon
Thief, and have about 30 other manuscripts
started. I like having different stories to work on so
I can work on one that fits my mood for the day.
Most of my books are written
for 10-17 year olds, although I have started a few adult
novels and completed a few picture book manuscripts.
